The Word of God

The worship of Almighty God and the building up of a Christian community, together with the development of their spiritual lives, is the reason for St. George's existence. 

At the heart of this is the sacraments and the study of the Bible. St. George's takes these things very seriously. 

Bible study groups

On alternate Wednesday lunch times, after the midday Eucharist, a study group meets to work together towards a deeper understanding of the meaning, significance and relevance to our life of the Bible. This is a very much an interactive group and is open to all comers. 

An evening group is also held for the same purpose. Again, it is an informal and interactive group, relying heavily upon participation of the group members guided by the Leader. For further information please contact our priest.

Prayer groups

Prayer and meditation are also high on our agenda. A meditation group meets on Monday evenings; it is a guided group led by a spiritual director of international repute. All are welcome to participate.
