Welcome...to the web site of St. George's Church in Campden Hill. St. George's has been a place of worship in Kensington since the middle of the 19th century. St George's has been built on the traditional teaching of the church and our style of worship and teaching is firmly rooted within the best traditions of the Church of England. For us, as for most Christians, worship is the core around which all of our life revolves. At the heart of our life is the Eucharist, together with the Word of God as revealed in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God in the words of men and women. This combined understanding of the Eucharist as the eternal Word of God under the appearance of bread and wine, and of the Bible as the eternal Word of God under the appearance of human words, is at the core of our corporate worship.
Visitors' informationChildren are very welcome at St George's. Click here for more information. Disabled worshippers and visitors are most welcome at St Georges. If special assistance is required it would be helpful - though not essential - if you could contact us first to ensure we can make any special arrangements as necessary. However, disabled visitors who have not contacted us in advance are still most welcome, and should ask for assistance on arrival. We have a wheelchair that you are welcome to use whilst you are with us. We can also let you have a pair of reading glasses if you forget your own or even lend you a walking stick. If you are planning on visiting St Georges to worship, perhaps for the first time, why not let us know in advance? There are large print service booklets and a hearing loop for those that would find these facilities helpful. We regret that disabled toilet facilities are not yet available but they are in the planning stages. We look forward to welcoming you!
